Eat...
Steamers Steak and Seafood Restaurant. (McCall). The homey atmosphere of this downtown gem only gets better when
you're dining on baked scallops parmesan, crab and shrimp stuffed halibut, or beef tenderloin with port-cranberry demi-glace.
Ketchum Grill. (Ketchum). If you visit in warm months, try to get a seat on the ample patio of this longtime Ketchum favorite.
The menu changes with the season as the chefs seek to merge local tastes with international cuisines.
Play...
Silverwood Theme Park. World-class roller coasters, water slides and exciting shows make Silverwood a seriously
fun way to spend a day (or two). Try the twin wooden coasters Tremors and Timber Terror, or the Tiny Toot Coaster for the
little ones.
Golden Crown Lounge. (Idaho Falls). There's not a ton of nightlife in Idaho Falls, but sometimes an easygoing place with a
pool table and a good beer selection is all you need. The Crown fits the bill.
White Cloud Rafting Adventures. (Sun Valley). Experience the Salmon River first-hand on a white water rafting or kayaking
trip. For a little less adventure, try a scenic float trip that omits the rapids but none of the sights. Try your hand at
fly fishing guided by an experienced fisherman, and come home with fresh rainbow, brook or cutthroat trout.
Explore...
Yellowstone National Park. Even though it's officially in Wyoming, any trip to Island Park or Lava Hot Springs,
Idaho, would be incomplete without a visit to Yellowstone, the home of Old Faithful, grizzly bears, and some of the most beautiful
vistas in the country.
Glacier National Park. With more than 700 miles of trails, there's plenty of Glacier to explore. When you're into hiking,
biking, boating or horseback riding, you can do it all with a glorious backdrop of mountains. The park is in Montana, about
a 3 ½-hour drive from Hope, Idaho.

Snowmobile central. Idaho claims to have more groomed snowmobile trails than any other western state. And it doesn't hurt
that the scenery along most trails is spectacular. Some tours make it possible to snowmobile into Yellowstone. Check with
your resort to learn more.
Shop...
Boise Factory Outlets. (Boise). Get a great deal on a variety of top brands, such as Reebok, Oshkosh B'Gosh and
Levi's.
Magic Valley Mall. (Twin Falls). Find everything you need at this mall, anchored by JCPenney, Sears and Macy's, as well as
favorites such as Barnes & Noble, Victoria's Secret and Aeropostale. Mall includes a six-screen movie theatre and a full food
court that includes Chili's.
